Welcome!

Hello!

Welcome to Little Spuds Pediatrics, a mobile pediatric urgent care serving families in Southwest Washington! Little Spuds was designed by Afton Potter, a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and mother of three. When her third child required multiple visits to the pediatrician shortly after birth, she dreamed of having a pediatric provider come to home to evaluate her newborn, rather than going into the office. Now, that dream is a realty.

At Little Spuds Pediatrics, we believe healthcare should be simple. That’s why we itemize and bill for services the same day they are received, payable by cash or credit card at the end of the visit. While we don’t bill insurance directly, you can submit the bill to your insurance for reimbursement. Insurance reimbursement varies by plan and is not guaranteed.

Access to Primary Pediatric Care

At Little Spuds Pediatrics, our focus is on providing immediate care for urgent medical needs rather than serving as a child’s primary care provider. As a mobile Pediatric Urgent Care, we specialize in treating acute illnesses and minor injuries that require prompt attention. However, we do not offer comprehensive services such as routine check-ups, immunizations, or ongoing management of chronic conditions. For these essential healthcare needs, we encourage families to establish a relationship with a dedicated primary care pediatrician who can provide continuous, well-rounded care for your child’s long-term health and development.

Emergency Services

Little Spuds Pediatrics is designed specifically to provide dedicated outpatient pediatric urgent care, focusing on evaluation and treatment of common childhood illnesses. It is important to understand that we are not an emergency room and are not equipped to handle life-threatening situations or acute medical emergencies. A home visit from Little Spuds offers a nurturing environment for your child when they are sick with non-life threatening illnesses or healthcare conditions, but lacks the specialized resources and personnel available in emergency departments. For urgent medical needs requiring immediate or emergency attention, families should seek care at an appropriate emergency facility.
